Art therapy
enables individuals to explore a wide range
of issues affecting their lives, including drug misuse, domestic violence, bereavement,

The length of therapy
is largely based upon the needs of the individual and their response to the therapeutic process.  It is completely up to the individual to decide on the amount of sessions, which will be discussed at the initial meeting and the process is reviewed regularly

One to one sessions usually take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis and last an hour. There is no requirement that art material has to be used in the sessions.  Some people rely more on words to explore personal problems, whereas others might use dreams, music, images or written material brought in from home.  Children, in particular often use a combination of play and art making to express themselves

Funding. This project is currently funded by Lloyds TSB Foundation
for Scotland, who supports the project one day a week. It may be
possible to negotiate additional sessions which would be charged
on a sliding scale, typically £30 - £50 a session.

racism, social isolation ,self harm, depression and different forms of abuse.

The therapy, on an individual basis or in a group setting, provides a safe place to address these issues and helps to develop confidence to overcome adversity.
